Weekend Activities

This past weekend Amanda's college friend Trisha came to visit us. She is fresh off a multi-year duty in the Peace Corp stationed in Panama.  Friday we went out to dinner at the Green Papaya in Bethesda which is Vietnamese food.  Saturday we saw Ocean's 13.  I thought it was pretty good - definitely better than the second.  Of course all the bantering between the big stars is always funny.  Pacino was alright but these days I'm not really a fan of him.  He does this wailing bit that really gets annoying.

Sunday, the ladies went to the Zoo while I went and played golf at Maryland National.  I shot 41-42, but just couldn't get it together.  I knew I was playing well enough to shoot in the low 80s but not to break 80 (which has been my goal the last year and a half).  I'm getting closer to breaking it consistently but the only time I've done it is once in Colorado this year.  I'll get there.  I really need to focus on my short game.  I need to get up and down a lot better than I do right now.

Sunday night was the series finale of the Sopranos.  I know many people were disappointed in it, but really I thought it was half decent.  I especially liked when they ran over Leotardo and guy drinking the slurpy turns and pukes.  The ending was fitting, considering David Chase never liked doing something that was expected of him.  Really I didn't think anything more would come of it.  I had a long day today so I'm out.

Mahalo!

Ok so I have a bunch of random blog posts that I need to clean up, but here is the gist of what is going on. We just got back from Hawaii and while we were away our friend Rubina sent me an email about the blog she started. Plus Schwimmer has one and I can't let both of them one-up me so I had to start one. I actually had one of these once but I deleted it. I also used to have the scottlive.net web site but I was getting tired of maintaining it. And nowadays you can store everything that I had on there online anyway. So here is the start of my blog. I'm going to kick it off with a bunch of Hawaii stuff once I get organized. My hope is to use this for photos and video as well as some of my ramblings when I'm not slammed at work. This is the new and improved Scott Live, so I hope you like it. Mahalo for visiting.
